Candidates at Apple should “expect to be turned away a few times” and know that it might take “a few years” to land a job.
That’s according to new research conducted by career data site, Comparably, who surveyed more than 6,000 current employees at Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft to gain insights into their interview experiences.
Whilst Apple’s process appeared gruelling, Facebook’s hiring tactics seemed more relaxed, with engineers showing up for an interview able to wear “whatever is most comfortable.”
Although the interview process varied from company to company, employees rated Apple and Microsoft as having the best overall interview procedures, while employees at Google remarked finding the interview process “difficult” – Inc.com reports.
Furthermore, Microsoft was noted for having the quickest average response time after an interview.
The study concluded that the majority of employees at all five brands secured jobs after initially applying online.
