The Millennial Leadership Paradox

Millennials are no longer simply influencing the workplace from below: they are moving into the roles from which organizations are managed, transformed and led. This report asks what happens when a generation moves from challenging the leadership model to becoming responsible for it.

Through the Kilpatrick Executive Global Leadership Transition Survey 2026, we examined the transition from three perspectives: Millennials themselves, the Generation Z professionals increasingly likely to be led by them, and the Gen X and Baby Boomer leaders who hold many of the positions Millennials are preparing to inherit.
